I'm the Mystery this Friday (shhhh don't tell Molly!) I'm looking for funny and engaging picture book read alouds for third graders. I've asked around my neighborhood and my teacher friends, and combed our own bookcases. From beloved classics to more recent sensations, these relatable books will be a hit with your third-grader. There are also plenty of graphic novels and funny tales that are perfect to hook reluctant readers and get them hungry for other types of books. Take a look .

Ursula King’s reader, Feminist Theology from the Third World brings together the diverse perspectives of women engaging in feminist theology, giving recognition and honor to the often absent or underrepresented voices of women of the Third World and women of color in the Unites States. The title highlights the book’s two controversial and misunderstood topics—the Third World and feminist. Stuey Lewis is a second grader with some anxiety. The book comprises four loosely tied short stories. In one, Stuey is anxious because he is not a very good reader. The strength of the book is in the teacher who is a model/perfect teacher. Kids really love books about school and this one teaches quite a few good lessons. [33].
